Paper Friend

PAPER FRIEND – ‘ An Exhibition of Wonderful Things’ by Hannah Smith & Guy Parker…

which indeed it was.!

It is so inspiring to see your peers and fellow artists grow from show to show, work to work and watch styles evolve and mature.

I have been following Hannah’s work for some time now and love her style of illustration… Minute, beautiful markings on paper that form amazing and wonderful shapes which keep you looking back time and again. On the other hand I had never seen Guy’s work, and now that i have all I can say is Wow.! Seriously, Guy does amazing Origami and paper folding work that just blew my mind, and everyone else’s… There were tiny Dinosaurs, Microsaurs, Sausage Dogs and Stalagmite’s…!

The two sold so much of the work which was so good to see, and the exhibition was packed.! Definitely things moving on the GC, The community of artists at the moment pushing each other and growing is fantastic and is always getting better.!

Enjoy some pics from the show below, I think it’s still up for 2 weeks or so at ‘Reap n Sow’ on the Gold Coast Highway in Burleigh Heads.

So much thanks to Chryslyn and Magnus for providing their space, Hannah + Guy for putting on such an amazing show… and a big thanks to Nicholas Chalmers Pu’Alani’i for keeping a brother in the loop.!
